Thanks for the motivation

This picture of me and my niece kind of disgusts me. Look at me. I look huge. Check that double chin. I think I'm going to print this out and put it on the fridge and on the mirror to keep me motivated to keep working towards my goal.
I've spent some time tonight investing meal planning online. Found some great templates. I just now need to find some great healthy meal plan ideas that mesh with the WW plan. I think I'll give the plan a bit of time before I kick it to the curb cause I've been fooling around and not really working it.

FRUSTRATION and FAILURE

I have dropped the ball once again. I have again not reached any of my weightloss goals and instead watch the scale creep in the opposite direction. I am so sick of this game. I'm beginning to think this Weight Watchers thing allows me too many cheats and that I can't stay committed cause I just look for ways around the plan to have what I want anyways. UGH! I really don't want to be this unhealthy. I just feel gross and unmotivated and unable to do it. It makes me want to do nothing. But that has resulted in crappy results. So I need to find something new to do. I need to jumpstart myself. I really want to do this year. I'm turning 30 in May and I know that it's going to more than just hoping the weight will come off to do this. It didn't get on my body in one month so it's not going to come off that way. I think I need to get serious and hard-core with myself. Not eating out, and preparing meals for the week on the weekend which is going to take self-discipline. I am reaching the end of myself which is exactly where God wants me to do. I can not do this alone...it is going to take the strength of Jesus in me and my complete dependence on him to make this happen. I have a goal of 30 lbs by my 30th birthday May 3. Can I do it? That's the question? Stick around and find out.

Kickin' it to High Gear

The playing around with the program is coming to an end. The scale keeps creeping up and up and I'm fed up! I joined the YMCA 2 weeks ago and starting this week, I'm dedicated to getting up and going to exercise with a couple of girls from church in the mornings before work. I did it this morning for the first time and I feel good about it. I'm going to be going to WW to weigh in on Saturdays and working out at least 3 times a week for now until I can get in the groove. Well..thanks for reading this if you are! :)

Arkansas Vacation and Restart the Program

So I have been at a standstill for a number of months. The school year is over and now we're in the heat of the summer. I'm taking lots of little trips, so I've determined while at Mom and Dad's to get back on the bandwagon and really count my points and exercise. Mom has been working hard to get her weightloss and exercise back under control. So I've been here since Sunday and today is Thursday and I've done a pretty good job of exercising and eating right. Of course, it helps to have the welcome distraction of my busy little niece, Maggie. She is so adoreable and Mom and Dad are watching her while her parents at Super Summer with their youth group. I am hoping to come home from this trip lighter and motivated to exercise daily. So I also joined an Challenge on the Weight Watchers message board to lose 20lbs by August 15th. I may fall short but I'll be better off even if I don't make it all the way to 20 lbs. I'm determined not to give up, cause I feel really crappy about myself right now! Keep on going! One bite and step at a time.

Weigh In March 31, 2009

I am still very disappointed with myself. I gained again this week! I hope to get this stuff under control before I go on Spring Break cause it will only get more difficult to handle in an unusual routine and setting. I have to journal my food this week! MUST DO IT!

This month has been a crazy one. From putting in an offer on a new townhome to being a homeowner and moving. I have been really undisciplined about sticking to my WW plan and I know that it has affected the way I feel and the way I think. I need to get back on track. I've been fighting with the same 4lbs for the month up and down. It stinks and I'm feeling really discouraged like I can't do this anymore. Every time I think I'll get back on track..I fall off..it's the epitome of "I do the things I don't wish to do, and the things I wish to do, I don't" in the Megan translation of the Apostle Paul. Here's to getting back on track!

16.4 lbs gone forever!

I'm so excited to say that I have lost 16.4 lbs. I couldn't believe that after a week of stressing out about new house stuff and Valentine's day feasting that I managed to lose big. I lost 2.8 lbs tonight at weigh in! I have now achieved my 5% weightloss goal! YAY! I can totally tell my clothes are fitting differently! I'm excited about spring coming eventually and being a small size and getting to wear my fun stuff and buy some new stuff. I'm also buying a new TOWNHOME!! I was talking to my friend, Diana last night and we joked and laughed that my new body didn't want to live in the old apartment anymore..it was demanding a new home for the new body! LOL!! I love you, Di!

5% Weightloss Goal

I lost .6 this week and I was a little disappointed with the weekly loss. But I achieved my 5% weightloss goal which makes me very excited. I also have been encouraged cause I can keep going and that weight loss and a new me is a real possibility. I also am purchasing my first home this month. When talking to a friend on the phone I joked that for my 5% weight-loss goal that I was passing on buying the dress that I wanted to purchase a new home. She laughed and in a funny voice exclaimed that my new body couldn't possibly be happy in my old apartment, so A NEW BODY DEMANDED A NEW HOME cause the old one wasn't cutting it! ;)

Wahoo!!

I totally went to WW tonight expecting to gain cause I had a really stressful week and not a piece of produce in my house and no paycheck to buy it. But to my SHOCK! I lost 2.2 lbs. This puts me only .5 away from my 5% weightloss goal, and a grand total of 13 lbs! Yippee! Pants are fitting looser and people are starting to notice which only fuels my ambitions!

A Week at a Stand Still

I'm grateful that after 2 snowdays and the stomach flu to see the scale maintain. I'm not discouraged. It just means I have to work harder to get the scale moving next week. Also, the last week of the month is always difficult cause the budget is tight and most of the groceries are gone. So it's a victory to stay the same! I'm only 2.5 lbs from my first 5% weight-loss. I'm going to work hard to get it next week!

Down 2.6 lbs!

I was so surprised tonight to weigh-in and see the huge number. I was really excited. My weight-loss total is 11lbs. I'm very proud of myself...it only makes me want to keep going especially since people are beginning to notice. It spurs me on to more healthy choices. I also have been decluttering my house which helps you feel lighter too! Thanks to all my friends for their support! It makes me laugh cause my brother called me to ask me how many points he should be eating cause he lost weight with WW before and he figured he'd give it a try cause what he was doing wasn't working! LOL! That's right, bro take a hint from your little sis again! WW works!

YAY for me!

I was really excited to weigh in last night and only have gained .8 pounds since before Christmas! I was so excited to see that I didn't even gain a whole pound. I was encouraged by my choices and that I stuck with the plan as much as possible. Hopefully, it wasn't just that I was wearing a dress and not pants! Looking forward to another great week!
