Dancing with the Stars Latin Dance

I just did half of the Dancing with the Stars Latin Cardio DVD...and I think it is totally doable! I just have to work at it so that I can some day do the whole video without dying. I did just fine with the dancing portion I did...it was the dancer's toning workout at the end that about killed me! I don't know if I'll be able to walk tomorrow! I'm sure I won't be happy..at first but it's only to make me healthier!

Merry Christmas!

I've had a rough last couple weeks with this weight-loss journey. I was really disappointed last week when I tried really hard to stick to it and I gained weight. I headed off to Mom and Dad's for Christmas and had the plan to weigh in once while I was here. I was very disappointed to find there was not a soul at the meeting location when I showed up. I've had a hard time journaling my food while I've been here cause we aren't really having a schedule and that makes it more difficult. I have been feeling successful cause I can tell that my clothes are fitting looser..I just want to maintain this next week and I'll be pleased.

Friday at School

I'm feeling so proud of myself. I counted the points for some trail mix I ate even though it was 7 points. It will cause me to have less dinner, but it was what I wanted at the moment! :) I have enjoyed the new freedom I've found in making healthy choices for myself! I'm hoping I will continue to see results on a consistent basis! I better run cause my lunch time is nearly over and I have to use the restroom before my next class, 4th grade math! I love it! Can't you tell?

The Journey begins

Today a good friend suggested I start a blog to record my transformation in to a better Megan! So here it goes. I have lost 9.6 pounds this month! I'm very excited! I have a goal to get to my first 10% weight loss by Thanksgiving! I'm hoping it can happen, but I will have to work hard to do it.
